is a non-profit organization focusing on earthquake prediction.

Dozens of scientists and hundreds of volunteers from all over the world are actively engaged in the research of earthquake prediction and the education of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction.

I terremoti causano una perdita di 35,8 miliardi di dollari l'anno

I terremoti sono uno dei disastri naturali più comuni. Come l'attuale peste covid-19, un terremoto distruttivo non distingue tra confini nazionali, culture, razza o genere e porta enormi perdite a vite umane e proprietà. Tuttavia, la differenza è che una pandemia arriva solo una volta ogni così tanti anni e gli scienziati di tutto il mondo si mobiliteranno immediatamente per sviluppare un vaccino e una cura per combatterla. Ma che dire dei terremoti? I principali sismologi nel mondo di oggi credono che i terremoti avvengano in modo imprevedibile, data solo una certa probabilità che si verifichino. In un certo senso, è come se gli epidemiologi rinunciassero allo sviluppo della cura per la pandemia. (Di più)
