Huizhong Chen is the chief expert of the Geophysical Information Science Communication Team of the China Association for Science and Technology. A council member of the 8th term of the Chinese Geophysical Society, and Professor at the Institute of Earthquake forecasting CEA.
He has successively worked at the Institute of Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Geophysics CEA . China Earthquake Data and Information Center, and the Institute of Earthquake forecasting CEA .
For a long time, He has been engaged in the research of seismology, earthquake observation, earthquake telemetry technology, geophysical information technology and earthquake early warning technology.
He participated in and presided over the compilation of books such as "Telecommunication telemetry and Seismic Network", "INTERNET Earth Science Resources Guide", "Strategic Research on the Exploration Approaches of Major Earthquake Prediction on the area of Chinese continent ", and the national standard textbook "Big Data" for colleges and universities.
In recent years, articles such as "Discussion on Several Issues of Earthquake Early Warning Engineering", "The Transformation Brought by Intensive Earthquake Observation", "Nine Talks on Earthquake Early Warning", and "The Essence of Earthquake Early Warning" have been published.
